  • Pre-existing diseases are covered after the waiting period if the policy is continuously renewed. Hypertension is covered after 2 years of renewal.

SBI Super Health Insurance Claim Process

  1. Policyholders must promptly notify either SBI General or the Third-Party Administrator (TPA) in the event of an accident or illness requiring hospitalization or daycare, through a phone call or email. 
     
  2. To get a claim number or reference number, the policyholders can contact SBI General by calling their toll-free number 1800 102 1111, sending an SMS with the message “CLAIM” to 561612 or emailing their details to customer.care@sbigeneral.in
     
  3. Policyholders can also have the option to notify the company about the claim by providing the necessary information on the company’s official website. 
     
  4. Within the next day, a customer representative will contact the policyholder to provide information about the necessary documents and next actions. 
     
  5. The process of cashless claims at network hospitals involves the insurer directly coordinating with the hospital to settle the bills, relieving the policyholder from the burden of upfront payment and reimbursement procedures. This streamlined approach offers convenience and financial relief. 
     
  6. The policyholders must ensure all necessary documents are submitted, such as the claim form, photo identity card, discharge card/certificate/death summary, prescription copies for diagnostic tests, treatment advice, medical references, investigation reports, itemized hospital bills and receipts, as well as original pharmacy bills with prescriptions. 
     
  7. Once the necessary documents are in the insurer’s possession, the company will promptly begin the process of reviewing and addressing any applicable claims. They will finalize all relevant claims within 30 days after receiving the final survey report.
